February 2005

Greetings from the Freie Family!

We rejoice that we can once again send an issue of the journal to you. It's been a year since we last sent this e-publication. During this time God has brought our family through many seasons of growth and renewal. We rejoice in the lessons learned, the friendships strengthened, and for each step on this journey. Over the past year, we've walked with the Great Shepherd of our Souls through the valley and rejoiced with each step we took up another mountain. When we scale the heights of the past few months and look back, we can survey the surroundings and see just how far God has taken us by His faithful guiding! Looking back, the valleys don't seem so low, and the obstacles don't seem so threatening. Looking ahead, from this vantage point, we can see visions of His perfect plan for us. There's no turning back, and what's ahead is the fulfillment of every one of our heart's desires, and an eternity with the Lover of our Souls... Jesus Christ.

We'd like to share briefly with you what the Lord has been doing in our lives, and we look forward to hearing what God has been doing in yours! We have been busily working on a few home projects. Jim has been keeping busy with his job as an electrician. Lyn has been enjoying her job as a keeper at home. Recently, she's taught herself how to make rag rugs, and she finds pleasure in teaching others this old time skill. In September 2004, Emilee received her Bachelor's Degree in Christian Education. She studied full-time at home for 2 1/2 years and received a 4 year degree. We thank the Lord for abundantly supplying for Emilee's needs and fulfilling a desire of her heart. She is excited, as we all are, about the new avenues God has opened for our family to pursue, and for the new plans for Titus 2 Ministry.

We, as a family, are looking forward to unveiling all the new aspects of Titus 2 Ministry over the coming year. There are so many things in the "works" that it is too much to describe in just an email. So, we eagerly are working to unveil these plans, in God's timing. We appreciate your prayers for our family and this ministry. We are praying for our subscribers.

As always, we love hearing from you. Feel free to write us anytime. Due to time constraints, we may not be able to respond immediately. However, our desire is to get back with you as soon as possible. Also, if you have any specific prayer requests, please feel free to email them to us at: t2m@titus2ministry.com. Please know that we are praying for you when you send us a request, even if we are not currently able to respond. We take emails and prayer requests from our subscribers and visitors very seriously and always appreciate hearing from you and praying with you!

We anticipate sharing with you again in March through the next issue of Titus 2 Ministry's Journal! So, until then...

Blessings to your home and family!

Preserving our future with the BEST of the past!

Poetry from the Past
Excellencies of Christ
1857
To Christ the Lord let every tongue
Its noblest tribute bring;
When He's the subject of the song.

Survery the beauties of His face,
And on His glories dwell;
Think of the wonders of His grace,
And all His triumphs tell.

Majestic sweetness sits enthroned
Upon His awful brow;
His head with radiant glories crown'd
His lips with grace o'erflow

No mortal can with Him compare
Among the sons of men:
Fairer He is than all the fair
That fill the heavenly train.

He saw me plunged in deep distress,
He flew to my relief;
For me He bore the shameful cross,
And carried all my grief.

His hand a thousand blessings pours
Upon my guilty head;
His presence gilds my darkest hours,
And guards my sleeping bed.

To Him I owe my life and breath,
And all the joys I have;
He makes me triumph over death,
And saves me from the grave.

To heaven, the place of His abode,
He brings my weary feet;
Shows me the glories of my God,
And makes my joys complete.

Since from His bounty I receive
Such proofs of love divine,
Had I a thousand hearts to give,
Lord, they should all be thine!
