Greetings from the Freie Family!

I pray this Journal finds you and your family enjoying the fullness of the Lord!

Summer days are heavy upon us, here in Missouri. Those of us in central Missouri have found ourselves in a drought, truly needing the blessing of rain and cooler temperatures. The parched grass is like walking on porcupine needles, definitely not a pleasant experience for the barefooted little children, as they head out to take a dip in the creek. Seeing such sights cause the memories to flood back upon my mind. Those days of Summers gone by… cold watermelon, a tall glass of lemonade under the shade tree, lawn chairs, fireflies, tag, hide-n-seek, counting the stars, and quiet, peaceful talks of the blessings of God.

I encourage you, enjoy this season and make memories that will last a lifetime. Every season demonstrates the awesome faithfulness of God! As you sit resting under your shade tree, drinking a tall glass of lemonade, pondering on the blessings of Father, we truly would appreciate you lifting a prayer to Him, on our behalf here in central Missouri. The farmers and families of this region greatly need the blessings of rain. Thank you for sharing a prayer for us all!

May God bless you with showers of blessings so great that you will not be able to contain them all! We pray this issue will cause you to ponder the faithfulness of God and the awesome power of prayer!

We Want Your Opinion!
A website for Christian boys and young men... is there a need?
A subscriber wrote to us recently with this question… "I was wondering if there is anything like the 'Genteel Girlhood' for boys. Anything in the works, or books, websites, ect., you can suggest? I find lots on raising girls to be young ladies but am not having much success in finding anything for boys to be gentlemen, the art of chivalry, to be a strong man of God, gentle husband and loving father."

If you have a few moments, we'd appreciate it if you'd email us and let us know if you would like to see an addition to T2M similar to GG only for boys and young men. If so, what would you like to see included? What are the needs that a ministry/website such as this would need to fill? We are here because of you, and we desire to see the whole family ministered to, according to God's plan for this ministry!

Also, if you know of any resources for Christian young men, we'd appreciate it if you'd share them with us as well. We'll be sure to update you on the responses we received in the August issue of Titus 2 Journal.

The Cross Road

This true story is a tribute to my Great-Uncle Paul. (He is the little boy on the far right in this issue's photo.) Earlier this month he went home to be with the Lord. His testimony touched me so deeply that I had to share it with others. I was greatly honored by having this story read at his funeral earlier this week. It is my heart's desire that this story will bless you and your family...

"The cool October breeze caused the leaves to dance as they fell from the trees. It was a serene country setting stirred from silence by the first cry of a newborn. A new life began that would touch the lives of many others.

Paul was an average boy growing up in the foothills of the Ozarks. He felt school was quite unnecessary, much to the dismay of his older brother, Tom. Paul's history of becoming sidetracked and not making the school bell caused his brother much dismay. You see, he was in charge of seeing to it that Paul did make it to school, less a few adventures, but on time. A sister later joined the twosome who saw to it that any dull moments would be endangered by her latest endeavors.

During Paul's boyhood years, he and his siblings stored up memories they would later unfold to their children and grandchildren, seasoned with laughter and tears. Life has its way of passing so swiftly. The childhood discoveries are now misty memories, which resurface upon the questioning sunlight of the next generation, when they ask, 'Tell me a story, Grandpa!'" ::FULL STORY::
